Crystal Snow Globe

Sony’s charity event “Ai no Izumi” began in 1968.
This year, WOW was in charge of the charity installation “Crystal Snow Globe” at the Sony Building in Ginza, following the success of the “Crystal Aqua Trees” series that WOW took a part in two years ago.
“Crystal Snow Globe” is a charity installation art piece where people enjoy creating puzzles using snowflakes, that float down to the ground just as in a snow globe.
When a coin is dropped into the charity box, the installation is activated and the audience is treated to a series of different displays where snowflakes dance in the air and then gradually fade away.

If people get into the fundraising spirit, and many coins are donated in quick succession, a special show will be set in motion, and a wonderfully dynamic show will delight the crowd bringing about feelings of warmth and enjoyment.

About “Ai no Izumi”
This is Sony’s 47th “Ai no Izumi” (Fountain of Love) charity event. The first was in 1968.
The initial inspiration for the event came from the Trevi Fountain in Rome.
The funds raised will go to help children around the world receive a primary school education through, UNHCR (the office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees).
